Bear
is my adorable four-year-old sable ferret. He was used in an
observational experiment with five of his siblings when he was a
little kit and when the girl who conducted the experiment was
finished she found homes for all six of them and I got Bear and his
sister, Tourette. Bear has been through many illnesses, some mild and
some scary, but he has always pulled through and he is the best
ferret a person could own. He will let me hold him for long periods
of time which is unusual for a ferret and whenever I give him a
Cheerio or a raisin he will bristle his tail like a bottle brush and
make the cutest dooking noises. He closes his eyes and savors every
bite of his treats. Bear loves to steal my sons socks and hide them
behind the washer and one day when I was cleaning I found over twelve
socks tucked neatly away. He loves to drag hair brushes under the
couch also. Bear means the world to me and everyone who meets him
fall in love with him. His name may be Bear, but he is the sweetest,
most gentle of ferrets I have ever owned.
