Although
extremely loud, Kiwi is a sweet little colorful bird that
loves to cuddle up on a shoulder and watch television. In the winter,
she likes to hide under a flannel shirt to keep warm. She eats dinner
at the table with us, and begs for food by hanging upside down by one
foot. Some food she likes to eat, besides sunflower seeds, are
grapes, chicken, hamburgers, noodles, rice, potatoes, milk, and any
fruit juice. She'll grab the food in one foot and hold it while she
eats. Kiwi earns "treats" (Froot Loops) when she says her
name or rings her bell. Some other things she says are "You're a
bird-head," "look who's here," and
"Kiwi-bird." She loves to play games, and will throw kisses
or scream for attention. She has a scheduled bed-time, and if nobody
covers up her house, she'll sit inside and cry, or throw her seeds on
the floor. If you can handle giving a bird some TLC, perhaps a Jenday
is good for you!
