Dizzy, the Pet of the Day
Name: Dizzy
Age: Two and a half years old
Gender: Male
Kind: English Ferret
Home: Dallas, Texas, USA

Dizzy's father came over from England with the rest of his Aunts and Uncles: Queen Elizabeth (Lizzy) Winston Churchhill, etc. and became a member of the Zen Group in Virginia. His father had one litter when he was taken ill and after three weeks of battling, was lost. Dizzy Jr. was the only male out of the litter and inherited his name. As a special gift, he was sent here to me in Texas as a pet and is he ever. Little Dizzy has the best personality and temperament except you cannot stop him from begging. He lies and says he didn't get any when the lineup goes past for handouts until you finally tell him you know better. He wears a pretty blue bow tie when he goes to the Ferret Olympics and is a real ambassador for the ferret kingdom. At home he is the peacemaker among all the girl ferrets. One time he even took up the argument between two of the girls when one was really getting the worse of it. The next thing, he is being dragged across the floor by the tough gal who is one third the size he is and he's got his legs up in the air. A very short time later, I opened the drawer to my sewing machine and inside, it is common for ferrets to crawl into closed drawers, and there was the loser asleep with Dizzy draped over her neck. He looked up at me as if to say, "It's okay, I may not have won her battle, but I am still her knight in shining armor." Dizzy is a wondrous little guy. This picture I named "Gee, they don't make the saddles in England like this."
