Conan
is a Jendaya Conure. He is twelve weeks old and was born in
Raleigh, N.C. Five weeks later, he became the new addition to our
family, when we brought him to our military home in Cherry Point,
N.C. We named him Conan to give him a big ego! A big strong name for
a little baby bird. I still feed him from a syringe twice a day, but
he is learning to eat on his own.
He loves to come in the shower and take baths with me, and he loves
apples and grapes! He comes to bed in my room every night and cuddles
with me before I put him in his night time cage. He loves it when I
tickle his tummy while he lays on his back in my hand, too! He is
still so young so he has not developed all of his wild personality
yet, but I think he is one of the sweetest birds in the world and
what makes him most special is that he is my bird (or I am his owner)
and he loves me and I love him.
