Fatso
(aka Podo), is my first ferret and he is the child of my heart.
He and I share such a special bond that sometimes I just want to cry
when I look at him in my arms - he is so sweet. Fatso is a champagne
siamese ferret (that is his color and pattern). He is from Path
Valley Farms in PA and quite large for an early neuter boy - just
around five pounds! He is my ambassador ferret, if ever I need to do a
Ferret Awareness Day or any kind of public trips - he is the ferret
that goes with me. He is so sweet and gentle that he would never hurt
a soul (except my mom, he thinks she's kind of tasty!).
Fatso lives with Skinny and Sweet Pea, but gets along with all
ferrets. He is what I call the social director when a new ferret
comes into the shelter. He is a big hit at the ferret shows, too! He
has won Heaviest Hob at two of the four shows I have entered him in
this year - beating even a German whole hob one time! I normally show
in him in Champagne or Cinnamon color specialty and Siamese or Point
Pattern (in the winter - he loses his pattern during his summer coat
change). He has even placed 10th (out of 75 ferrets) in one of the
Championship Shows. I don't know what I will do when Fatso is no
longer a part of my life, hopefully that will be a long time away. I
love him so much.
