Pipesanddrums
(Bart) is a seven-year-old Thoroughbred gelding who
resides near Pittsburgh, PA. Bart certainly has a sense of humor.
After three years on the track that didn't agree with him, he found
it much more entertaining to stick out his tongue at his owner! A big
bay sweetheart, he's a sucker for apples, and will do anything to get
at them. He and his owner show at local shows, hunt seat, and have
fun at it. While snapping pictures for the for sale flyers, Bart
decided to stop being cute, and catch the photographer by surprise.
And he did. She didn't know the picture would turn up that way until
they were developed!
Bart didn't like racing, and from his reactions when I first got him,
he didn't seem as if he was well treated. However, he is a great
horse to simply ride and to show hunt seat on the flat. He likes to
try and find sugar cubes in my pockets when I bring them for him. He
groans when he rolls, making it sound like such "hard
work." I truly wish I could keep him, but I am trying to find
him a good home, since two horses is too many. I hope that he can be
a lesson horse or a children's horse because he loves the attention
of little kids. He has also made his technological leap from
conventional methods of showing himself off to the Internet. Though
he doesn't personally maintain it, he has his own
web site
where he has several pictures. He's quite a guy, with a
sense of humor and a sweet disposition.
