Atilla
the bun is a mini lop. Here is his bunliness in all his
(confused) glory. He was born in 1989, which puts him in his golden
years as far as rabbits go. He's living with my good friend Kit in
the People's Republic of Takoma Park, MD. He hops around the house,
and has been litter box trained since he was a little bun. As he's
gotten older, he has gotten into the habit of snuggling with her more
and more. This is so cute you just want to die.
Attila used to be a chewer big time. We'd follow him around the house
with a little water bottle to surprise him when he'd go after the
phone and electrical cords. Bitter apple was useless, and hot pepper
sauce appeared to have been enjoyed as a condiment.
He loves to flop in the sun, and as he's gotten older, he really
likes hanging out on the couch with Kit, his owner. He is great at
grooming people, but only ones that he knows and trusts. If you are
in his favor, all you have to do is lie down on the floor. He'll hop
over, stand up on his hind legs, and put his paws on your cheek. Then
he'll start with your hairline (seems appropriate... HARE line...
sorry) and lick all over your face with his little cat-like tongue.
Sounds weird, but it feels wonderful to have another species so
accept you into their rituals.
He's not much of a climber, and since he's never been outside for any
real amount of time, I can't say that he's a digger either. He's a
fluffy little homebody. Definitely city folk, not country.
