Buzzy
is somewhat of an unusual African Gray because he is so friendly.
He will try almost anything to get attention. He rolls over on his back
and plays dead, calls out a family member's name in another family
member's voice and will even sound like the door bell or the telephone
just to get someone into his room and over to his house.
His best friend is Ito (a Blue Fronted Amazon - May 4 Pet of the Day).
We'll often find him on Ito's cage which he visits often for some preening
(unusual for birds of different species). Buzzy is full-grown but a year
younger than Ito. He is probably two inches longer and certainly more broad,
but Ito's still the boss!
African Grays have a life expectancy similar to Amazons about 60
years. He is a very loving pet and always keeps us laughing with his antics.
