Tarot
and Spooky are English guinea pigs. They are twin sisters, two
years old and live in southern New Jersey. We got them both because
we were told they were sisters and didn't want to split them up.
Tarot and Spooky have distinct personalities. Tarot is friendly and
curious. Spooky is shy with people but is dominant over Tarot. They
are both excellent with children. Like most guinea pigs, they have
learned to associate sounds with food and squeal loudly when they
think they hear food coming. They recognize the sound of the
refrigerator door, the rustle of plastic bags, vegetables being cut
on a plate, and the opening of the front door.
Because they have red eyes, some people think they look demonic. In
reality, however, they are sweet, docile pets.
