My
male Eleonora Cockatoo is five years old and his name
is Isak. Isak was handfed when he was raised and is a very
tame bird. He enjoy being in the middle of everything. He
lives together with his fiancee Berit who is also a Eleonora
Cockatoo. Some other friends he lives with are Klara (Triton Cockatoo)
Oscar (Blue-fronted Amazon) and Linus and Lukas (Cats). Once a year
Isak participates in the big Swedish Bird exhibition. As you can see
from the photo, he isn't doing that bad!
At the last exhibition in Malmoe 1997 he ended up second in his
class. Not bad at all! He loves to get all the attention so he is
the perfect bird for exhibitions. I don't have his wings cut so he
can fly around as he wants in my apartment and destroy the furniture,
but it's worth it.
