Hi,
my name is Ginger. I live in Ms Smith's first grade classroom at
Foothill Elementary. I love to sit on the kids' laps as they read
books to me. I nibble carrots and parsley all day. I squeak whenever
I hear a plastic bag. I always hope there'll be a snack in it for
me!
Ginger (and Jack, the male guinea pig) are held
constantly during the day, and read to. The teacher comes in on
weekends, and they go home with her on vacations. Ginger is expecting
babies in two months. She once had nine in one litter! Both guinea
pigs' cages are right in our "meeting circle" (where the
class gathers for stories, sharing and group discussions) so the
guinea pigs get attention all day long!
