Zoe
is the happiest, funniest, most affectionate dog we've ever
known. She came from a puppy mill in Missouri, ended up in a pet
store here in Southern California and was initially adopted by a
couple who found that her boundless energy could probably not be
satisfied by life in their condominium. Luckily, they cared enough
to find her a good home, with us, and our life has never been the
same since. Zoe loves to play and tease and has a great sense of
humor!
Zoe will eat just about anything, including pens, pencils, and
coasters. And don't suggest that I use a deterrent like Bitter
Apple, Tabasco sauce, or black pepper...she likes all of those!
What makes Zoe extra-special is that she enjoys watching TV with us.
And I mean *watching* TV! She loves to watch shows featuring
animals, often talking to the TV when an animal (especially a dog or
a bear) appears on the the screen. Sometimes I tape "Wishbone" for
her and she watches very attentively. All I have to do is say "Puppy
on the TV?" and she comes running from anywhere in the house.
Zoe is very high maintenance, especially compared to her 8-year old
companion (also a rat terrier), Millie. We adopted Millie at the age
of 4, already trained. The good news is that Zoe has taught us a lot
about dogs, so she and Millie both have a better life as a result.
Our dogs give us much pleasure and we can't imagine life without them!
