This
is my 13 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback, Kelly. She nearly didn't make
it to her 13th, as she had a stroke. At the moment, her mate,
Noodle is
taking care of her, by taking her out and letting me know if she is "lost".
Kelly has had two litters - one being 15 puppies, the other 10 puppies. I
kept two of her babies, one from each litter, only one is still alive and
living with a friend. Kelly is incredibly loving and affectionate, and
gives "through the legs" cuddles as she can no longer jump up and give hugs
due to having arthritis. She is also a "food fiend." She can sense/smell
food from 50 metres away - but is selectively deaf, that is, when you call
her she pretends she can't hear! I am sure she is going to come back from
the dead when she hears us getting food. Kelly has been the best dog I
have ever owned, has personality plus and I hope she is around for many
more years.
