What
can I say in just a brief profile of this precious little bundle
of joy. She came into our lives eight years ago (when she was seven months
old and two and a half pounds) after a very rough start in life. She was taken
from her first home because of abuse. Her second family took her
home from the pound and within a month or so had to move to a place
where they were unable to keep her. She was offered to us if we
would give her a good home.
I believe if Missy could talk, she would
express a life of happiness. She has adjusted to our lifestyle
without hesitation. She loves to golf. Yes, I said golf. She tries
as we do to get "birdies." Missy runs about the fairways, sniffing
all of the things that dogs sniff. She knows when it is time to move
on to the next hole and races to the cart to ride to the next tee.
She enjoys travel, having made all of our vacations, to include
across the United States, visiting such places as the Grand Canyon.
The day is not complete until my husband plays sock with her. That
is a little game of the sock being thrown "at" the clothes hamper
twice, and then the third is a charm (unless she coaxes him into
another toss or so). Then, yes, up in bed with us. We are so
thankful she is a member of our family.
