This
is our 14 year old domestic short hair cat, Monina. She
adopted us about 12 years ago. She had it with sharing the
limelight with 2 other cats and a dog with whom she lived. She was
our old neighbor's cat, but Monina really took a liking to my husband.
As time went on, she spent more and more time at our place.
When our neighbors moved away, they said we could keep her and the
rest is history. She wanted undivided attention so she weaseled her
way into our home (and hearts!) and she (we) has been happy ever
since.
Monina is a healthy 21-pound female with a 27 inch girth! She'd die
if she knew I was giving her measurements over the web!! Her former
owner was from Peru so we often refer to her as our Peruvian kitty
but the truth be known she was found at a local flea
market here in New Jersey. She's a real love. She's never been the
most energetic cat so we find her rare bursts of energy pretty comical.
Catnip usually does the trick! Monina spends her days like most felines,
eating, grooming, and lying in the glorious sun. Ahhhh, the life!
