Trevor, the Pet of the Day
Name: Trevor
Age: Six years old
Gender: Male
Kind: Airedale
Home: Jacksonville, Florida, USA

My pet's name is, Trevor. He's a six year old Airedale terrier and lives in Jacksonville, Florida. I adopted him from Airedale rescue in Michigan 2.5 years ago.

Trevor, is extremely special in that he was abused and neglected for three years before he was rescued and still gave me the chance to show him love by loving and trusting me. He has an extremely sweet, and humble personality he gets along superbly with my other two Airedales. His sweetness turns into a fortress when it's time to protect the premises.

He is cherished and loved to no end.

Airedales are extremely stubborn, loving, brash, loyal, quirky, funny, stubborn, intelligent, stubborn. They were bred in England by combining an Otter Hound and Black and Tan. They love to hunt and swim. They are not for everyone as the case of Trevor's prior owners. My two rescues, Trevor and Laddie adapted well. Trevor still shows signs of abuse but is a lot happier now. Most abused Airedales recover from abuse within a year and I believe Trevor, was severely abused because he still and always will show signs. Laddie I adopted last year and although he was kept outside by his owners, he ruled my roost within a couple of days. There was no shame there! There's never a dull moment in my house.

They are always up to something, be it collecting trash, opening cupboards and taking inventory, stealing food, ripping my mothers bunny slippers right off her feet. On the other hand, they all stay in the house while I'm at work, on the couch, bed, wherever they please and they don't touch or mess. If you could put up with a rambunctious two-year-old for 2 years, you will have a cool dog for life.
