is special because she once was a completely wild cat. She was
born in the woods behind my work site. We discovered her presence when she
was about 8 months old. We would leave food for her at the edge of the
woods and eventually she began to trust us and started to come closer to
our building. It took a couple more months for her to come inside the
building. One fine day Lithium ran into our rest room and hid underneath
the shower stall, she was screaming loudly. I was very upset because we
could not see her. We had to take apart the base of the shower to get to
her. When we finally did, to our surprise she had given birth to three
kittens. We all enjoyed watching the kittens grow, but we knew we had to
find them good homes. I found each kitten a loving home and had Lithium
spayed. It took another three years for her to allow me to pick her up.
Lithium has been with us now for 9 years and is very comfortable (as you
can see in the photo). She is as tame as could be and a very loving cat.
