Blake
is my special furry companion. He is loved immensely, pampered as if
he were a human child, and knows his place in the general hierarchy here.
Top cat and all that! *g* He was born into my lap and has never known
another owner.
Blake is 13. His birthday is September 7th, and he is a breed called
Russian Blue. He has dark gray fur and deep emerald green eyes. Obviously
you can tell that he is not a purebred. His mother was a new breed called
a Blue calico. Gray, white, and cream. (Instead of the usual black, white
and orange.) His sire was a champion award winning Russian Blue though.
Blake is special in that he loves everyone indiscriminantly. Anyone who
comes into the house is subjected to a loving cat wanting to be held and
petted. He greets me at the door when I return home from work each day.
He sleeps under the covers at the foot of the bed keeping my feet warm
during the winter, and on top the covers during the summer.
