According to the Food and Drug Administration, dozens of dogs have died or become ill after eating Diamond Pet Food products contaminated with aflatoxin. Our hearts go out to those dog owners who lost their companions because of this tragic situation.

On Wednesday, January 11, 2006, Diamond Pet Foods announced that they had identified the contaminated batches produced in the Gaston, South Carolina plant.

The ONLY brands affected are Diamond Maintenance Dog and Diamond Premium Adult Dog with these "Best By" dates: April 3, April 4, April 5, and April 11, 2007.

According to the company, this information has been confirmed by tests of more than 2,700 samples conducted by independent laboratories.
