I am probably the worst person on this forum about choosing names for my furkids. Although, the womenfolk are much better at this sort of thing than the men. Therefore, I attempt to call my cats by their given names repeatedly, so they can get used to hearing it and understanding which one I am addressing. This is working, but is slow. So far, Snow Cat, Mama Cat, Tiger(ress), Jumper, Fawn all recognize their names. If they were to be called by other (nick) names, then that would not only confuse me, but them also!

    I have 2 cats:
    1. Kedi, 8 yr. old Maine Coon/Himilayen mix, male
    2. Wylie, 1 yr. old M. Coon, also male

Kedi's nicknames are: Boo-Boo (his favorite), Pretty Boy, Pumpkin, and the Knucklehead.

Wylie's nicknames are: Rascal, Piggly-Wiggly, and The Waterboy (because of his obsession with his water dish, and the fact that he is wet about 50% of the time from it)

My cat Liza (RB) was often called Li'l Girl or Princess.

I am terrible for this. Scooter must have at least 10 nick names. I'm suprised he has any idea what his name is. Some of them are Scootie, Scooboo, Scoots, Scootie-pootie, Big guy, Scoo, Orange etc.
Clyde doesn't have as many, I guess because his name isn't as rhyming as Scooters.
Don't even get me started on the dog Pugsley. Every member of our family has at least 5 nick names for her. And she wags her tail for every one.

The most common for both of them is Snots as in "Where are the Snots?" "Are the Snots helping you?" "What are them Snots up to now?"

Here's Peanut in her Flatso mode.

Good topic! It's fun reading everybody's nicknames. Oh, and amazingly Tubby comes to them all - including Peanut's names, and Peanut comes to none of them!

Thank you for the complement. That Flatso mode reminds me of when Osker tried to go behind my T.V. set. When he got out and layed on my bed he looked like a squished marshmallow
