    Good Deed

I am not one to blow my own horn, but I wanted to share this with everyone.

Those of you who have been around PT for awhile know how much I think of people who rescue and re-home doggies. True legends, and I am proud to see so many of them here on PT.

I wish I could get more involved in it .......... and I have, inadvertantly.

I work with a lady who is always on the look out for a new addition to her furkid family ..... and she sent me a link to a site (she was pointing out a beautiful doggie)
Of course, I decided to look at all the doggies (which I should NEVER DO)
and found a little one year old Dally girl .....

I know that Dalmatian Rescue Victoria always want to know about Dallys, so I emailed them. I use to email a guy called Jim, but he no longer has his address online, so I emailed the other 3 addresses on the site.

This morning, I received this message (and am still in tears; tears of joy)

Don't ever be sorry to contact us re any Dalmatian that you come across
in need. Gail phoned me with the info having received your email.
Thanks to your efforts you have provided "DOT" with a new and very
loving home. We had a family on the waiting list who recently lost their
Dalmatian to old age. Dot is now living with a family of 5 children aged
from 18mths to 13 years, all who were very distraught at losing their
lifetime companion, she is also bringing great smiles to their 3 yo who
    is suffering from leukemia.
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR TIME AND HELP.

I am so happy .......... words cannot describe it .... and wanted to share with you all.

Thanks for the inspiration, all of you here involved in rescue. I feel I have "rescued" , but in a different way.

    Yeah Michelle!!!

I always feel bad emailing rescues and such to tell them about dogs, or to ask for help, but when it works out, it is such a great feeling! I'm glad the Dal got a wonderful home. Great job!!

How great! What you did was very important to Dot and her new family. So many people would have just said I wish I could do something, and walked away. You definitely did not. Congratulations to you and Dot.

Thank you all so much for the positive vibes.

As much as I helped this little darlin girl, I just think about all the other pups there. Luckily, this is a no-kill shelter ......... and the animals really don't seem to stay very long there ......... they adopt out fairly regularly.

    Thanks again.
