Vacation Pics! Nascar, Salem, Plymouth and Boston.

I finally have my vacation pics uploaded and I thought I would share some.

First we went to a NASCAR race in New Hampshire

I had to walk through this crowd just to get a shirt for Brandon, Anna and Mark. Geesh, the things I do for the ones I love

Alden and I at New Hampshire International Speedway

    Pit Road

    Here they come!

For Anna and Amy. Tony in the lead. He sure was stong but didn't quite have enough at the end.

Who might that be behind the pace car?

It's Mark Martin! Even though he didn't win it sure was a thrill to see our favorite driver lead some laps.

I caught a pic of Alden just as Robby Gordon crashed into Michael Waltrip

We had front row seats and were pretty close to the cars as they came around.

Because we were down so low we couldn't see the whole track. That was ok though because it seemed like all the action happened on the side we could see. Boy, it sure was a fun and exciting race!

Next we went to Salem where we took a tour through the Witch House

Took a tour through "The House of Seven Gables"

    Saw some pretty gardens

Went to The Salem Witch Museum

    We enjoyed the beautiful scenery

Took an evening carriage ride through the town

We walked through the Salem Cemetary when it was very dark and no one was around....very spooky!

Then the next day I turned into a WITCH!

From Salem we headed to Plymouth where we saw

The Mayflower II, which is a replica of the Mayflower and was built in 1950's

This guy was aboard the Mayflower and he was awesome. I could have sat and listened to him talk all day.

    Plymouth Rock Memorial

We went to the old cemetery in Plymouth also and noticed that they had some strange carving on their tombstones

Next we saw Plimouth Plantation. I loved it there. It was a village set up like the pilgrims might have lived and everyone was in character and I loved talking to them.

    Over at the Indian side

From Plymouth we moved on to Boston. I could have spent several days in Boston. So much to see and do there.
Statue of Paul Revere. Notice the shoes on the horse.

Would have loved to have went to see a game.

The Boston Public Library. I could have spent the day in there. It was gorgeous!

The USS Constitution. She was an awesome ship.

The USS Cassin Young. A destroyer during World War II

    Bunker Hill Monument

Notice the ball cap and shoes on this statue

Ok, I have went way overboard so I’ll quit now. I have tons of pics in my album. For some reason they are all out of sequence though and I never did take the time to put captions with them. If you want to see them though they are HERE.

Wow, great photos! I'd have loved to go on every one of those tours! Hubby is taking his National Junior Honor Society there in the spring... hmmmm... maybe I should volunteer to be a chaperone NOW, before all the spots are taken!

Just what are you saying, little girl?! Hmmm, I might just have to cast an evil spell on you!

Thanks Kay and catnapper. We had such a good time and you are right, Kay, the weather was fantastic. I loved the northeastern states. Very pretty. I would love to go back.

Looks like a great trip. Thanks for sharing it with us. I have always wanted to go to Boston (now I am adding Salem and Plymouth to that wish), but have never gotten there. So I really enjoyed seeing it through your vacation pics. I am off to look at the album now. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed your trip.

Ok, I have been waiting to see your photos, I'm glad you finally posted them.
It took me forever to look at all the photos in your album but I'm glad you took a lot of photos.
Wasn't the race great, I bet you had fun sitting in traffic on the way there and back.
Did you get to hear Robbie Gordon's $10,000 word on the air?
I was hoping that you would have a photo of him throwing his helmet at Michael Waltrip's car.

My son went on a field trip to the Plimouth Plantation and he really enjoyed it there.

    I love the Boston photos.
In May my husband and I went to The U.S.S Constitution and the Bunker Hill Monument because our hotel was really close to it.
Did you climb to the top of the Bunker Hill Monument? It was about 300 steps!
It rained the whole time we were there so all of our photos are gray and rainy.
We also went to Quincy Market, it was really crowded on a rainy day.
I'm so excited that I'm going to Boston again tomorrow and the weather is supposed to be perfect this time.
I hope to have some photos when I come back.
Did you ever get to meet Mayor Karen while you were there?

Thanks for sharing the photos, I really enjoyed them.
Next time you come out this way, make sure that you stop in Vermont, ok?
    RIP sweet Samantha
