Yesterday was Mackenzie's Birthday.Since we were at my Grandma's house due to the evacuation, I wasn't able to post.

You were the first dog I could call my own. We grew up together, and you're still my best friend. Your face may be growing white, and your eyes cloudy, but inside is still a playful, young puppy yearning for attention.
I remember the day we got you, driving home with you laying in my lap. You were nothing but a big, sweet, fluffy teddy bear, bounding with energy. When I was little, I always used to say I wanted a golden retriever puppy named Mackenzie, and it was if all my dreams came true when your huge puppy paws came flopping into my arms.
Now, as you turn 8, I can't recall the years that have gone past, making you grow older. You'll always be my specail baby, no matter how old you get.
