Grandmom would be proud

I was cleaning my jewelry today and came across a locket that used to be my great-great-grandmother's. She was a huge animal lover, and passed it down ot my grandmom who passed it down to me.

I never put a picture in it because when I got it after grandmom passed away I was single and had nobody to put in it. After I cleaned it today, I looked for a picture of hubby or the kids to put in it, but the locket is so small that their faces were no bigger than pencil points.

What else do I out in? A picture of a cat - what else? I bet Grandmom will be purroud and she'd like that I did that.

Here's the locket. It is supposed ot be on a chain but since I hardly ever wear necklaces, I had it turned into a pin a few years ago.

It just feels "right" that I did that. And something I'd been playing with since I got her, *IF* I keep Flutter, I'm going to rename her and I was thinking something along grandmom's name, which was Lillian. Lilly? (Poor Pouncer, his "sister" and his girlfriend might have the same name ) I promised grandmom that I'd name daughter after her... since I'm not having hooman kids, Flutter might be the daughter who gets the name.

I have always loved lockets. I think the picture you picked out is perfect. Does this mean you are keeping Flutter..I mean Lillian?
