    Wet Paws

WHY DOES SHE ALWAYS HAVE TO STICK HER PAW IN THE WATER AND MAKE IT MOVE BEFORE SHE WILL DRINK?

thanks for your quick response----I don't mind the wet FEET but the floor around her water bowl is always wet. Guess I'll just have to keep drying it off every morning when I change the water.

Well tell you what you might try.. My Half Pint that does it picks on the bowl that I have setting in the bath tub.. You might setting bowl in the bathtub or shower & of course leave the doors open & then dont have all the mess..

My Lilith does this too. Some cats prefer moving water. Lilith prefers to drink from the tap but when she does get a drink from the water bowl she slops it on the floor and splashs in it first maybe they think if it is moving it is fresher. Maybe a good idea for your baby would be a waterfountain. Maybe a drinkwell fountain or something of the sort. I keeps water flowing and a lot of cats prefer it.

My rainbow bridge babies have forever left their paw prints on my heart.
Lilith & Vixen, taken too soon. I love you always.

It could be that it is a visual thing for the cats. They see the water move, which was not moving before. So now they can see it therefore drink it????? Cats are a strange bunch. We have several cats that like the moving water!

Hello I have a cat that sticks her paws in her water, tries to move her food bowl if she has dropped one little piece of her dry food. If I have a glass of milk sitting on the table and I leave it for a minute, Lilbit is sitting there dipping her paw in my milk and licking it off of her. Cats are curious and mine is fasinated by water, loves to get in the bathtub and drink from the spigot. Cats are strange but fascinating creatures, and we love them
