    The Kiss

I got this in an email today. Thought all the dog lovers would enjoy it.

    The Kiss

He had just saved her from a fire in her house, rescuing her by
carrying her out of the house into her front yard, while he continued to fight
    the fire.

    She is pregnant.

When he finally got done putting the fire out, he sat down to catch
    his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte, North Carolina newspaper, "The
Observer," noticed the female in the distance looking at the fireman.

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman and wondered what
    she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the tired man who had saved
her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him, just as the
    photographer snapped this photograph.

I think this came through before. It's a nice story, but not true. If you check here you'll find an explanation: http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/gratitude.asp

It's still a beautiful photo, I'd heard that she hadn't actually been rescued by the firefighter. When I first saw it, and, thought he had rescued her, I thought, ha, he's probably got something yummy on his nose.

After reading the real story, I still think that Cinnamon was giving that firefighter a kiss of gratitude! She knew he did good!

If you ask me, the story is not all that far off.
He didn't carry her out of the house, but he was fighting a fire in her house! She knew he did a good deed!!

I just love that picture! Everytime I see it I get a huge smile on my face and tears in my eyes!
    RIP Cinnamon

I agree! Even though she was not rescued by him personally, she was still saved from the fire and she knew he was helping to put the fire out. Dogs are very emotional animals and extremely intelligent! That is a GREAT PHOTO!!!!

Hanson, I will never forget you, i miss you so, and you will always be in my heart! I will miss your farting, sneezing, barking, growling, and just you! here is a poem for you.....

I Didn't Get a Chance to Say Goodbye

I didn't get a chance to say goodbye
To you, to tell you that I loved you, to say
What now must be one long, unbroken cry
Of pain, now that at last you've gone away.
I cannot tell you what a joy it was
To be the one to tend you in your need.
The burden was a gift, for giving does
Not burden one who loves, though loving bleed.
I wish I could have been with you when you,
Perhaps aware, perhaps not, turned towards death
Alone, with no one there to wonder to,
To share your fear, your hand, your one last breath.
    I wish, I wish, I wish . . . but it is done,
And now I must surrender what is gone.
    I LOVE YOU HANSON
