Happy Father's Day in Heaven, Dad

Since I did a thread like this for Mother's Day, I'm also starting one for Father's Day too. Feel free to post!!

Happy Father's Day, Daddy. You've been gone for almost 8 years now, and I think about you every single day of my life. I miss our "chats" and your "fatherly advice" whether I need it or not. I only had you to myself for 2 1/2 years, many times were not as I had hoped. But I treasure the memories we did create. I hear this song everytime I think of you:

"Won't you take a chance and let your tears start falling
Ignore the fearful warnings of your mind
Let your heart, for once, do all the talking
And believe that you deserve for the sun to shine
I love you and I want the sun to shine."

The sun is shining where you are now, Dad. Enjoy your day.

    What a nice thought.....

My dad left a few years ago too......

He's sitting besides a campfire in heaven......Eating peppermints candies that he'd cage from the little dishes at the buffets he loved to go to....

    Yes, Happy Father's Day....

Hi Daddy! Happy Father's Day!! Although you are not here to celebrate with us, know that we are celebrating for you. I miss you every second of every day....your smile, your ideas, your HELP around the house, everything about you!! Please let Uncle Vince know that I miss him terribly too. You both left me too soon...for reasons I can never understand - but at least you're healthy and pain-free now! The boys miss you a lot, but are hanging tough. I know you'd be so pround of Jacob! He's off to college this year! And only in the 9th grade!!

I'm sending big {{{hugs}}} to you from earth today. I love you, I love you, I love you

A Marine. An EMT. A dj. You fought for your country when you were young, saved their lives when you were older, and, kept them grooving always. You made me smile for nine years while you were here, and, still do. There's usually a tear or two, now, though. I remember watching "The Heavenly Kid", listening to "Ebony and Ivory", and, driving around in your old '56 Chevy. I remember riding around on your back in the pool, like you were a dolphin or whale at SeaWorld. I don't remember much, but, I'll always remember being your little girl.

    Always yours,

    Kari

Almost 10 years after you left this world we met in dreamland and you sat down on a park bench beside me. We started talking and when I looked at you, I realized it was YOU! I yelled out laughing "OH DADDY!! IT'S YOU!!!! " and you started laughing that wonderful laugh you have. It was the only time you "visited" me but it left me happy and let me know you were alright.

***KISSES**** for Fathers Day to you Daddy, I miss you still but your sense of humor carries on in your decendants and we talk about that "humor" often that the men in this family have.

PS: Daddy, tell Mama I miss her every day too!

Happy Father's day, Daddy! There was a time that I was very angry with you and life in general because I will never see you, talk with you, hug you. I was just a stupid selfish kid when you died and I never thanked you for all the sacrifices you made for me to become the person I am today. I wish you could have been here to see me marry (that was the only way you would shave that stupid beard off your face was on my wedding day), graduate from college, and all the other successes Joel and I have accomplished. I wish I could have had the opportunity to have an adult relationship with you--I then would have appreciated all the advice you gave me!

You were truly a wonderful father. I am grateful everyday for you and would give up everything just to hug you one last time. The only comfort I have is that we will be together again when this life is over. Thank you for helping me become who I am today. You loved your children more than any man I have ever met and in return, we loved you just as much.

I was not with him when he passed, but not a day goes by that he's not with me in spirit. He is right by my side day after day.

I love you Dad and I hope you got my messages yesterday.

My dad died in 1981 but the memories are as vivid as if he was still here. He was a very special man and he and my mom were quite the team for over 50 years and he is still sadly missed.
