Do your pets swim? (this week's poll)

Oh wow, does Blaze ever.....swimming is his most favorite hobby, and playing in the hose. However, he doesn't get much of a chance to swim since we left our in ground pool 2 years ago. We're going to get him a little pool for the summer though, so he will love that!

Obviously the bettas swim...no duh! And Domino really hates water.

    Thanks Kay!!

Jack enjoys swimming but doesn't really love it. He really likes it if I go swimming with him.

Kyra thinks that water is fine but doesn't like not being able to touch or see the bottom

Micki and Shadow HATE the water! Even if the hose is out (doesn't even have to be on) they will Not come outside.

Mini will swim if she is chasing a frog or a fish but would much rather stay on a boat or dry land.

Out of the guinea pigs Mo likes water, Henry and Elvis do not.
    The cats also hate it!

Max, Muffin & Kirby love the water. We have to be careful because they will come up the steps and jump in the above ground pool. They love to ride around on air mattresses and snooze. It's funny to watch them.

Molly does not like the water, but will go in if I hold her.

Carly is TERRIFIED of water. The people who used to have her would throw her in their pool and let her figure a way out. If we get in the pool, she'll run to the other side of the yard and watch us. To this day, we still have to sedate her to bathe her she is so afraid.

I bought 2 life jackets this year for them to share. I'm generally the only one who gets in and I can only handle one or two dogs at a time. If I need to, I'll order more jackets.

All of my pets can swim, but the only one who enjoys it is Timber (and Mike, but he's a fish lol). Caleb gets bathed every couple of weeks, and he puts up with it very well, but he would never actually enjoy swimming. Tobias gets bathed once a week and Oliver once a day (my rats), and they HATE it, but they actually tolerate swimming alot more. I guess it's because when I'm bathing them they see it as "power grooming." They are very good little swimmers, but they really don't enjoy it. I like them to swim because it's good exercise.
