To all you Golden Retriever owners out there...

I have a question...How much grooming do Goldens need??? I might be getting a Golden. I am not sure yet so I have not gotten my hopes up yet. Any info you can provide me about Goldens would be great. I have never owned one before and really don't know about them at all. All I know is that they are excellent dogs. I want to know all that I can about them. I could look this all up but I would rather hear it first hand from all of you. Thanks a lot. Oh the one I might get is a 1 year old Female. That is all I know about her right now.

as far as I know one a week brushing and at least once every 2 months bathing seems to do them well. Occassional professional grooming can't hurt either. Well, I may be wrong, but I am pretty sure that should be good. She sounds nice, I hope you get her!

Right click on the pic and when the menu comes up click on Properties and then copy the URL. Come to PT and click IMG under vB code box, paste that URL in the box that pops up and it should then come up in the reply box where you type these messages. It will be a long address surrounded with [IMG] on both ends. Hope this helps.

Yeah, once a week grooming sounds preety good. I don't do once a week, only when my boy Tucker starts to look pretty ratty. It's all worth it when you're done, tho.

Sassy is my goldie, she is one year old. I have to brush her twice a day on a daily basis or there will be hair everywhere! I also give her a bath about every month (or until she stinks, whichever comes first). She is very loving and loves to play fetch. But at the same time she is a teensy bit protective. Like if a person is walking down the street she will go crazy (BARKITY BARK BARK BARK!!!). Also we just got a new dog (miniature pinsher sp.?) and if we start to love on her Sassy will get extremely jealous and start to wine and bark. Even thoush she has some mistakes she is a really good dog!!!

    P.S. I really recommend
    a goldie for you.

    P.P.S. What are you
    going to name her?

Thanks 4 the amazing blinkie and siggy,Joanofark!
    Thank u flamepony12 4 the cool avatar!
