    Gymnastics cat

    I was picking up my cat to give him a cuddle, I picked him up like a baby and at the same time he decided to have a stretch, the results of which are attached in the photo.

    I don't know about you but a gymnast could not have done any better, what do you think?

    H. W. The photo appears as though you are holding an artificial cat! Perhaps a doll or something. LOL. AT any rate, mine does the same, especially Snow Cat, and Jumper.

    H W, actually, now that you mention it, that idea also crossed my mind. But even though it is all in fun, I have picked up one of my (dead) furkids who was hit on the highway, and it isn't funny. My kitty who was hit last spring was one named "Motley Cat", about 2 years old, because of her tortie coat. What was interesting about her coat is that if a cat had horns, Motley cat has two white spots by each ear that would mark the spot! And why she went all the way to the highway is a mystery to me, because none of my furkids wander out that far from home -about 500 ft away, unless she was chased out there, which is the only reason I can come up with. Now, Princess is her "double" -and kitten also - but without the "horn spots".

    Sorry to hear about your cat, it was really sad to hear your story. I hope i didn't offend you? I have not experienced the death of a cat in this way but I can imagine how you feel especially if you are like me and adore your fury friends.

    Awww, what a great picture! I think that's called the "ultimate weightless kitty yoga" pose (mommycat required for best benefit)

    We used to have a kitty that would love to be held upside down so she could get into "full stretch" position.

    Ritzy likes to be helped with stretches (pick her up just under front legs so she can "reach high"), but really has never liked to be upside down in my arms (even as a tiny kitten) although she goes belly-up on the floor for me all the time.

    I am in awe. I have never been able to hold any cat upside down, let alone get a trusting stretch like that. Congratulations.
