I've just seen this terribly sad news Johanna. Please tell your sister and her husband that I am thinking of them and will be keeping their family in my prayers.

My heart is so saddened by this distressing news. Baby Samantha has so much to live for and so much still ahead of her!

I have no good news. While Sammy's surgery on her limbs went as well as could be expected, there appears to be tissue damage already. The doctor just has no positive news to deliver. The words, "If she survives...." just echos and echos.

I just keep thinking that I want her to know, when she is a young woman, healthy and happy, that she has had the heart and soul of a group of wonderful people behind her and that love and care for her, and are trying to push her little strength to its max. One day I want her Mom & Dad, or maybe Aunt Johanna to be able to read these thoughts to her while she's getting ready for college. Just an idle hopeful thought.
