Subject: Our Lost Kitty - Hope
Dear Yahoo Group,
I am writing you in hopes that you can help me find our kitty. We found out about your group through one of your members on Petfinder.org.
We had gotten our cat Hope when she was just a very small kitten. She was rescued from an abusive situation where she was thrown against a wall. We took the small kitten into our loving home in Ohio in early June of 2004. She was only 6-8 weeks old. We later discovered that Hope had serious vision problems. We took her to an eye specialist who said that she was blind and it was probably from being thrown. The vet also said that her blindness was pretty much permanent. She can see shadows, light, and dark, but that's about it. But we still loved our Hope.
As Hope grew, she became accustomed to her vision and was more stable. She would run and play without running into the walls. She could even catch bugs in the house. In August, Hope moved with us to Alabama from Ohio while my mother was getting her new house in Elbert, WV situated. In September, Hope moved with my mother to her new Home in West Virginia.
At the end of January of 2005, we received word that Hope was missing. We feared that someone had taken our beautiful kitty. She had on a light pink collar, but no tag. She was indoor cat. There had been an unknown family had a function of sorts down the street from my mother's house the day that Hope went missing. Hope was let out on the patio to get some sun. The yard was fenced in and she had never left it before.
We miss our sweet kitty very much. We have attached several photos of her. These photos were from the time that we were keeping her before my mom moved to West Virginia. Photos 01-04 are from 6/5/04, while 05 is from 7/27/04 and 06 is from 8/22/04. Hope would be approximately 1 year old now. She was not spayed yet when she went missing and had not gone into heat. She has not been declawed.
If you have any information please email me back or call (205) 640-6965.
Thank you,
Stacey
