OK! I did it! NIP party!

Such a wonderful day and all were up and moving so I decided to try ya'lls "nip party" for my babies.. It had never occured to me to just dump the catnip on the floor and try that until I saw you all doing it so why not jump on that bandwagon too and see how mine would react... Well..NOT like I had expected!!

First they couldn't eat it fast enough and they didn't act like they were having a blast... They were just eating and sniffing...

    Chester not interested in posing?

Amy did seem to have more difficulty walking though....Had she eaten to much, was she going to get sick????

Then....... Amy became very aggresive (?), brave(?), scratchproof(?) and started attacking Giz!
    Grrrrrr!

Say you give up or I'll rip you to pieces!

Just remember that the next time you want MY TOYS!!

LOL!! Well Laura it looks to me like Amy had a heck of a good time! I have so many different reactions to nip from all the brats that it's kind of funny. Leroy get aggressive so I have to keep him in check! Peanut Butter can become a lumbering tyrant if someone gets into his nip space but for the most part they just get silly and space out.
Magoo on occasion will show interest in nip but only if it is really fresh. He doesn't like the overdried stuff at all.

They are too funny to watch. It looks like Giz took her whoopin well!!!

OH MY! Amy getting hostile over her nip turf? I love the picture of her rearing up her hind end to intimidate Giz some more. Looks like quite the party...ala cat style lol!

Most of my cats get silly or mellow. But if it's fresh catnip, Mobius turns into a "mean drunk"!

    Mine prefer Catnaps

I couldn't work out why my two didn't go all ga-ga over catnip toys etc, then someone told me the ONLY cats known NOT to react either way to catnip are Siamese! Has anyone else heard this? So we miss out on all the sort of fun you're all having. My two have their own herb tub on the balcony with catgrass (well-loved/chewed) catmint and catnip for decoration. I hope to have a picture of them both "gardening", soon (I'm a bit new to all this advanced technology!) Anyone else with Siamese ambivalent to catnip out there?

That is so funny how Amy got so defensive! And Giz is like - Whoa, mellow out chick!

Yup, me thinks we're going to have to have a nip party this weekend.

Great pictures Laura! I hate vaccumming so I don't put my nip on the rug. Instead, I have a scratch board that lays flat on the carpet and that's where the nip goes. Specks rolls around but Max just eats it carries on as normal. It doesn't really affect him much.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!
