    Time for a small reminder.....

The first Medal of Honor was awarded in the Iraqi conflict.

I know there will be someone who will post a reply with something like "Well, if Bush had not sent these men and women to Iraq......"

    O.k.,

But just take a moment to think about the what Paul Smith did for his fellow soldiers.

Take a minute to recognize the man, not the politics behind his death.

Thanks again to everyone who serves, has served or will serve.

Indiana needs no reminder that this country's soldiers are
sacrificing their lives, or how brave they are in battle. We just
buried 4 more Indiana natives last week. They were killed from
    a road bomb in Afganistan.

I'm sure every other state continues to bury their own sons too.

Thank you Richard. We all do need to reflect occasionally and take time from our own lives to think about the bigger picture. At least I know I do...puts things in perspective.

Like you said, Thank you to all those men and women who serve the rest of us, military, police, firemen and all the others....

The small community of Simi Valley, next door, just got the news that the fourth soldier from that area was killed this past week.

I dread when ever I hear of anybody being killed over
their. Every time I hear of a car bomb or shooting I cringe
when our soldiers as well as inocent people are getting killed.

My nephew gets to come home for a 2 week
visit in 2 months. We are so happy, especially
for his wife and his mother.
