    Happy cockroach

I wish I had my scanner on campus. Anyway I was at the store the other day and I saw bug cages in the outdoor toys section made of screening. So I thought I would stretch some screening or plastic canvas across Requiem's cage so she could climb, she can't climb good with her broken leg. I ended up buying six sheets of plastic canvas and making a cockroach sized cage, much like a chinchilla cage with two levels and ramps and a catwalk, and I added a sheet of soft foam to the floor for easy landings if she falls. Boy was she thrilled to be able to climb the entire cage from top to bottom! You would never see a happier bug. Next time I'm home I'll post pics.

Oh thanks for the thought but its permanently amputated. The guy at the pet store dropped her because he was scared of her, shouldn't have been handling her! He offered me a different one that wasn't injured but I wasn't going to leave her for lizard food. I need to borrow a friends digital camera sometime and get pics of her disabled cockroach cage.

She just said that it had been permanently amputated.

Anyways, That was very nice of you to make that cage for him, and I'm glad he's having fun with it!
