Sun Conure Needs Loving Home - Suggestion?

Helo:

I have a very affectionate sun conure (3 years old) that needs a loving home. I want to make sure that he goes to a good place so I am looking for suggestions. Where should I look/post?

My little guy, Sunny, is very attached to me. However, Sunny does not do well with children. I have two little ones and I have finally, after much heartache, decided to try to place him somewhere where he does not pose a risk. He loves adults, though. He just loves to hang out on shoulders and share in meals. I know this is bad, but his wings are not clipped, b/c he never ventures off of shoulders. Even if you try to shake him off, he still flies right back. As with all sun conures, he is loud. He demands a lot of attention and makes it impossible to ignore him. He loves showers! He is definitely a male and is healthy. Vet records available.

Any and all suggestions are welcome. I live in the Northern Virginia area (DC Metro). Thanks.

I find the best way to advertise is in the newspaper. When I was selling my grandma's puppies, I put an ad in the paper and within 3 days 300 people must have called. You can also try hanging flyers in pet shops or responding to "bird wanted" ads. Good lcuk!

You could try posting on birdboard.com. I almost adopted a conure from somewhere there. Also, try talking to a bird rescue or a shelter and asking if anyone is looking for a sun conure if they could give out your number.
