    From Texas?

Just out of curiosity, how many of the people in this board are from Texas?

There seems to be quite a few!

Me! I'm in Austin. I've also lived in Houston and Midland. I was born in California but only lived there a year, in Colorado a year, and 20 years in Texas. I love it here!

Well, I haven't even been to Texas.
But I would like to know if any of you have been affected by the recents floods?

I haven't been to Texas either but my husband was there for basic training at Lackland AFB years ago. He said it was HOT! HOT! HOT!

My parent's house in Houston was very affected by the floods. Their pool overflowed the backyard and they were in the middle of negociations to sell the house. The people decided not to buy it. Also my mom was at her friend's house a few nights ago and got stuck there due to high waters. At least nothing too serious happened.

The Houston Pit Rescue has been having a lot of problems. Many people offered to help them transport their dogs out of a few feet of water but not a lot could make it through the flooded roads. They are still struggling with some problems but all the dogs are okay.

I know Spring, The Woodlands, Magnolia, and Clearlake were affected. Probably a lot of the other areas too. They said the one billion dollar estimate was being conservative

The pit rescue that was flooded is slowly getting back on their feet.

Sugar Land was also flooded. I have friends who have friends down there.
