It varys, and depends on the weather. Sometimes they are in and out all day and other days they will only go out for a few quick toilet runs.

Mine will go out as many times as they can convince me to get up and go to the door. It's the "In/Out" game. They love it.

They go out at least 7 times, every time they come in i give them a treat for coming when i call , so now they want out all the time just to earn a treat, its too cute!

I think with Merlin it would be easier to let him out for the day,,,, as he is always wanting out,,,, but Lucy is part camel... I am lucky to get her to go out anymore then 3 or 4 times day///

Mine is an indoor dog because we don't have a garden but I take Snowy out 2-3 times a day for a long walk at a nearby garden or the beach.

It varies with my dogs too.
I put 5 but it could be more or less depending on
    them.
I do not know what is up with Sheba but for the
last couple of weeks she has been wanting to go
outside and than back in the house 3 times just
    between 5:30 and 8:00 p.m.

Rocky on the otherhand has been wanting
to go outside a lot less since the rains have started.

I guess it depends on the weather just how long
the dogs want to stay outside.

For us, it's more like how many times does your dog come inside.
Major is allowed in the porch a couple times a day.

In the winter, I'd say on average around 5 times, and very briefly usually for Tasha! In the summer they go out much more . Of course since I work from home they get the opportunity to go out more than some dogs whose parents have to work.

I guessed the average is 5 times a day for Disney but now that she is losing her mind sometimes she will ask to go 5 times in a row in a 30 minute period. She gets out there and just stands and looks like "what am I doing here". It's so sad.

Mine go out when ever they want too. So I'd say 5 or so times.

I don't keep track. But Sarah goes out at least 7 times. Dusty and Roxy come in for a couple hours, then go outside for a couple hours...they are in and out about 2-3 times a day.

    Thank you Wolfie!

    I think 5 to 7 times, I really don't keep count.
