Wow, isn't this a big surprise!!! I'm sitting here on the verge of tears . . . I'm so happy that you've welcomed this sweet orange boy into your hearts, after all you've been through with loosing Tubby.

I LOVE the name! I definitely see the Cracker Jack coloring! His face reminds me of Brodie's markings . . . his colored nose & white arrow above his nose . . . very cute!

If he's already purring & letting you love on him, that's a GREAT sign! I can't wait to hear how he does with our precious Peanut!!!

Congrats & WELCOME CRACKER JACK!!! I think all PT'ers are already in love with you!!!

    Debbie, you got him!!

Congratulations - and Welcome to PT, Cracker Jack!!

He is gorgeous and he already seems happy to be with you. I'm sure Peanut will welcome him and show him what he can do and what not!

I saw the video, it's such a treat to hear him purr and see him explore. His nose is all red from exitement - or is it always? He looks like a real love bug.

    You MUST update soon!

Kisses, purrs and scritchies from us all.

    Oh Debbie!!!!

That is so wonderful you've given beautiful Cracker Jack a new home!!! I think he and Peanut will do fine once they get used to each other.

I love hearing stories about adoptions of older "pre-owned" kitties!!!

    Congratulations to your new addition!

Oh Phred, you always know how to get the old eyes leakin' again.

Thanks so much everyone. And none of you have to feel like you just climbed out from under a rock. I told very very very few people about this because I just wasn't sure myself. I had seen him on petfinder.com before we left for vacation. I called on him and they really didn't tell me much except that he had just been put into isolation in the sick bay for a URI. We thought that was fate because they won't adopt anyone out who is in the sick bay, so he was sure to still be there when we got home. Then I wasn't sure because Peanut has been such a little princess lately, and I didn't want to rock her world anymore than it already has been, what with loosing Tubby and then two weeks in the motorhome....but then I thought better sooner rather than later...before she gets too princessy. Then I wasn't sure about Terry...or myself for that matter....but when we got to the shelter, he immediately meowed at Terry (did I mention he's a bit of a talker?) which sucked Terry in immediately. Then when the girl brought him in for us to meet him and he immediately started purring and head bumping and looking around with those big curious eyes, I just knew I had to bring him home.

There, now you all know the story, now on to the uppydate.
