    Flair is Ready for Christmas

I went out tonight and got his stall all decorated. I'm lucky because he doesn't mess with anything so I can hang a lot more things up that way. I coldn't do the garland all the way down because of the way the door opens. I've got to get some garland for the plain wreath and I'll be done. We're having a barn party on Sunday and I wanted him to be ready for the holidays. I try to decorate it every year.

Here's two pics of the sky tonight. Was really beautiful

I did the right thing by setting you free
But the pain is very deep.
If only I could turn back time, forever, you I'd keep.
    I miss you

I hear you whimper in your sleep
I gently pet you and say, no bad dreams
It will be alright, to my dog as dark as night.

Fur as dark as the night.
    Join me on this flight.
Paws of love that follow me.
In my heart you'll forever be.

How I wish I could hold you near.
Turn back time to make it so.
Hug you close and never let go.

Flair, you are one lucky horse to be owned by such a wonderful and loving Mommy. Merry Christmas Flair and may your stall be filled with horse treats all year long.

DDM: I have a few friends with horses and every Christmas I bake "horse treats" for them and deliver them in person. How I wish I could do the same for Flair.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming WOO HOO - What a Ride!

Boy you are lucky! Most horses would chew and tug and poke at that stuff 'til it was destroyed! And I am sure Falir has the fanciest stall in the barn. Rub his nose for me, will you? (And give it a kiss if he'll let you for me!)

Those sky pics are just beautiful! Give Flair a giant smooch on his cute little nose for me.
