You know you're too fat when...

...you trip over the open dishwasher door and do this to it:

Thankfully, I think I'm ok. My butt has a huge black bruise on it where I fell on the edge of the open door, and my leg has a bad scrape. I only landed on the edge of the door with my butt, but my hand broke my fall on the floor. I think I may have hurt my thumb, since it's hard to move and grip things now. It's not very swollen, but it is painful. I have a dr appointment tomorrow at 11am.

I always forget to close the dishwasher, and when it's open and you're standing at the sink, it's right behind you like this:

I've backed over it 5 or 6 times in the 5 years we've lived here, but this is the worst.

But hey, now I get a new dishwasher.

Most people would just ask for one.

Sounds really painful! Good luck at the Dr. tomorrow.

    Ouch!!

I did a goodone yesterday. At my dance lesson, I was in the middle a triple turn, hit a slippery spot on the floor, and tried to keep my balance. That didn't work and I think I ended up completing the spin on my rear end. Somehow in the process, I twisted my foot and have been limping around all day.

OMG micki! I'm so glad you're okay. Can you drive alright? I will seriously drive up there and take you if you need any help, just let me know!

I guess a few bruises are worth some sympathy from your hubby and a new dishwasher, right?

    LOL! PJ's Mom.

Micki I am really not laughing at you though. I am glad you didn't fall on a knife or fork on your way down. That probably would have been what I would have done. I am glad you are getting it looked at and I hope you haven't done any serious damage. So many accidents occur around the home. Two months ago I tripped down the two small steps that go into my family room. I know those steps are there and have been going up and down them for 30 years now. I guess they must have jumped out of the way this time to call me to fall. I thought I had broken my knee and went for an x-ray. All they found was a little arthritis. Getting old and clumsy stinks! You have a long way to go though before you catch up with me and some of the dumb things I've done! LOL! Check back in after you see the doctor.

That must have hurt like the dickens.
You are going to be sore tomarrow.

That is not the right way to get a new dish washer.

    Hugs Karen

LOL, I guess I could've just asked for one! Doh!

I'm already SORE! Ouch, ouch, ouch.

Aly, you're so sweet! I can drive ok and I can even type, though slowly.

Pam, I never even thought about a knife or a fork! Thank goodness I didn't catch one of those on the way down! Wow, this could have been really bad.

Let's see, my leg, butt, palm, thumb, shoulder (I don't know why) and back all hurt now.

Yeah, your kitchen IS nice...and clean...unlike ours...

I'm so sorry about your fall! I'm terrified of falling (and I'm too fat too - over 200 lbs) because of that very reason - injury.

I think you deserve more than a new dishwasher for your pain and suffering. Go for the Lexus.
