Hi Nemo!!!!! Nemo. Forgive me this. I know this is a truly happy day. A day to celebrate. But I have to admit that reading your beautiful little bio. brought tears to my eyes. You know, us humans sometimes have a way of finding anything to complain about; to keep us from becoming all that we can be! And then there is you, and special little creatures like yourself, who, despite seemingly unsurmountable odds, take on life and all that it throws your way, turning tragedy into triumph! You are so pretty little Nemo. (I know, you're a boy!) And hearing of your sweet little games and how you love your shower; how your Mama helps you preen, just made my rainy day bright! Yes, I can see that you have woven your way into your family's heart....woven a tapestry of love, joy and devotion! Congratulations to Nemo!!! You have touched my heart so little one. And I am proud to have met you and hail you our beautiful green chicken Quaker Pet of the Day!! Lots of love and head skrittches sweet boy!

What a great story. It really made my day. Sometimes, I am afraid to read posts on Sunday, because that it is the day for animals that have passed away and it makes me too sad. Nemo sounds like the best bird and so smart and cute!!! So glad he found such a terrific home. Sherry, Jessie, Buster and J.C. "Just cat."

Sweet little Nemo again reminds me why I read Pet of the Day EVERY day. The extra "work" it takes to care for a pet with special needs is never really work. The love received far outweighs the giving.

Nemo, you are such a fine example of those special creatures who have triumphantly overcome their physical limitations. Of course, you may not have adjusted so well were it not for the extra care and kindness of your devoted humans, and I'm sure you are thankful for their love.
