Here are 2 pics of my last TNR rescues that chose to stick around. They are such a joy!
The white guy is Moonglow and the black is Jette (French ballet term meaning grand jump with accent on last e). They were at odds originally, but now are constantly together. Moonglow is friendlier, smaller yet has such a bold, scrappy/aggressive personality. Jette is a big hunk of a guy, was very scared of us, and would run from another cat rather than confront. He has come to rely on Moonglow for reassurance and guidance. Moonglow was easy to get a collar on and he lets me pick him up and "dance" with him, but Jette is not yet that trusting. Jette has come such a long way though, and now he loves petting and scritches . . . as long as all four paws are on the ground! We recently were able to get a reflective collar on him so I feel like he is safer out there at night if he crosses the road. My husband put a cat door in the shed and hopefully Moonglow will show Jette how to use it for winter warmth. They are such good buddies now and Jette depends upon Moonglow for confidence. My ebony and ivory boys!
