    Ashley: From the Ash Tree
    Kai: sea, willow tree
Kaedyn: I just made this name up by playing around with the word "Cajun". At first, it was Kayden then I decided to make it more unique by spelling it as "Kaedyn"

Kai [Sheltie], Kaedyn [Sheltie], Keeva [Malinois], Kwik [Malinois]

My real name means perfection in Hebrew--something I am sure my brother did not know when he named me!

    My dogs names mean:

Muskwa means bear in Cree. We were told by a medicine man that both Muskwa and my husband (who is Cree) have bear spirits.

Earle is named for singer/songwriter Steve Earle, who his momma is obsessed with!

Hoodoo was named by his breeder who was constantly asking him "who do" you think you are? He was the first of the litter to learn to howl and he liked to practice at 3am.

Pingo is named for a 101 Dalmations character, I think. I didn't name her.

Delta and Antare are named for solar systems or something like that--I didn't name them either.

Heyoka means "clown who teaches through his antics" in Sioux. It fits him perfectly.

Kayleigh picked her own name. She had dumb name at the shelter and for the first week we had her I tried to use it, but everytime I called her I would yell "Kayleigh" instead. She answered to it so I figure it must be her name.

Chase was named by shelter staff who chased him around for weeks before he was caught.

I have no idea where the rest of them got their names from. They all arrived named.

Kristina - The sweedish/Norse variant of Christina (I hate when people spell my name that way lol)
It means: Feminine form of CHRISTIAN. This was the name of a Swedish queen of the 17th century who was interested in the arts and philosophy. She gave up her crown to become a Roman Catholic.

Since I dont have dogs, I'll just do my parents pups

    Twilight: From the dictionary:
The diffused light from the sky during the early evening or early morning when the sun is below the horizon and its light is refracted by the earth's atmosphere.

The time of the day when the sun is just below the horizon, especially the period between sunset and dark.

    Dim or diffused illumination.

A period or condition of decline following growth, glory, or success: in the twilight of his life.

A state of ambiguity or obscurity.

Sometimes I think she closely follows the last part of the definition lol

Max: he came with the name, Id like to think it is short for Maximus (he strikes me as a Maximus) which means: Roman family name which was derived from Latin maximus "greatest". Saint Maximus was a monk and theologian from Constantinople in the 7th century. He sure is the greatest to us!
