Here's Lacie (in honor of Lacie Peterson)

She's doing great, putting on weight and the happiest girl I've ever met.

This is her after eating. She loves catnip, tummy rubs, headbumpies and curling up with her Meowmie on the floor for a little siesta.

And finally, Lacie being Lacie!!! I love her so much!!!

Deb, she is a senior kitty (16 I think) that was an owner surrender at the shelter. Donna had told them to not put her down, that if no one adopted her and her time was getting short, they should call Donna and she would adopt her. And that's just what happened. So now Donna has a beautiful senior young lady on her hands, and I'm so happy for Donna and Lacie!!

Donna, she is so adorable and I'm so glad you were able to adopt her.

Here's the link. Lacie, formerly known as Pinkie Lee.

She is such a cutie Donna! Hope she lives well into her twenties, and has no health problems ever! Give her a headbump & kiss for me please!

Thanks for the history post, Deb. I have been so behind and seldom make it to Rescue What a wonderful story about this older kitty
Donna-bless you for taking her in - what a remarkable change in personality. Sounds like you have a real sweetheart there - so gracious and loving
Has she met the rest of the gang yet, and if so - how is it going?

Donna she is BEAUTIFUL!!! You have done such a wonderful thing by giving this old girl a loving home. She certainly deserves it and I'm sure you will be rewarded big time!!!
How sad to be thrown away when she got old. I guess we shouldn't expect less since it's done all the time with elderly people.
Thank you donna for helping to make this beautiful girls last years as good as she deserves. Your an Angel!!

Lacie has SORT of met most of the gang. I opened the door and let whoever wanted to check her out come in. She laid there, hissed and growled a little. But there was no reaction from the crew. I did the old rub down with towels on all my cats and Lacie, so they all know each other's scents. Working 7 days a week really limits my time letting her out supervised to get to know the place. Anyone have any suggestions as to how long I should wait before I spring her from the room?? I was thinking about getting a couple of baby gates from a consignment shop or the Salvation Army and put them in the doorway so they can interact a little more. I gotta think about this a little more. I'll let ya know how it goes.

She's so cute! What a precious older lady. I'm so glad you adopted her, and she has a loving home now!

Maybe wait to let her out of the room until she tries to get out? Or until she and the other cats start playing "pawsies" under the door, or meowing at each other?

    Whatever happens, let us know!
