    Question about Business etiquette..

Ok, People have been calling like crazy now that Sada and Wyatt have found homes. I have been getting constant, non stop phone calls asking if they are still avaible. Since they aren't, I was wondering, should I inform them of the other animals we have up for adoption? Right now we have no cats, but we do have rabbits. And while I know they called for a cat, maybe they know someone who wants a rabbit, it would at least get the word out.

    1. Is this somethign I should do?

    and

    2. What should I say when they call?

    1. It seems reasonable to me...
    2. No, we have gotten wonderful homes for the last of our available cats. By any chance would you or someone you know be interested in a xxx rabbit, instead? (Sorry about the xxx -- I'm blanking on the kind of rabbits you have: lop, mini-, whatever.)
I'm sometimes asked "Why do you spend so much of your time and money talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?" I answer: "I am working at the roots." -George T. Angell, reformer (1823-1909)

That sounds OK. On our group's rescue line, sometimes someone is looking for a specific cat, and the cat may have been adopted. I ask them what they have in mind, and suggest an alternate cat. I've gotten several adopted that way!

    Good luck.
