    Computer Controlled Door

A cat sometimes brings small animals in through her cat door. How can she be stopped?

A company is developing software that will look at the cat then decide whether its appropriate to be let in. The Flo Control project is interesting. However, their real aim is to create powerful image recognition software not cat control systems.

The The Flo Control project website does contain images of Flo the cat carrying small animals. I understand that this is normal. But I still say, "Poor Mr. mouse."

I do not know of a practical way to keep a cat from bringing into the house a kill. This is one of the most disagreeable issues concerning cat ownership. However, with my managerie, they have pretty well cleared out the premises of unwanted varmets; snakes and gophers. This was the main reason I took in a stray cat about 6 years ago -before I became "educated" enough to understand about breeds and individual temperments.
