That is kind of a shocker but I guess the years of drugs and alcohol do catch up with you.

Connie, he did a song called "Super Freak", probably in the 70's if I'm remembering correctly. That's all I know about him!

I just read that a minute ago. It said he had a stroke a few years ago. It sound like he didn't take care of himself. He was big into drugs, so what do you expect.
Still, he was a legend. I can't help it I keep thinking about that line from the Chapelle Show. "I'm Rick James, b****"
