There are those who will think what she and her husband did is absolutely outrageous.

I am not one of them.................

My brother and his family just moved to Boston. Their home here had a pool in the backyard and just a small area of grass.

They moved their 13 year old German Shepherd with them. He is arthritic and clearly a senior.

They have temporarily rented a home with a large fenced-in back yard that is all grass.

Jake took one look at all of the grass and took off like a puppy.
My brother said he had tears in his eyes as he watched him.

It was very expensive and difficult to ship Jake on the plane. He is a huge shepherd.

But we don't have throw away animals in our family - and I bet most of you don't either.

I loved that story, and to think that some people
make accuses when they move a few miles away
why they can not take their pets with them.

    Thank you for the story.

Wow, that is wonderful dedication and very refreshing to read. Some days I can get really down on the human race but this helps.

What else could she do? If you've spent your life saving animals you can't find it in you to put them down can you? Good for her.
