Thread: go cats show their gender?

    go cats show their gender?

I had to post this because it was my husband's idea!! He is absolutely convinced that his little princess looks and acts like....a girl.
Here is Emily - can you tell by glancing that she is feminine?

Here is brother Eliot - does he look masculine?

How about your cats? Hey! I will even make it a poll!!

Mom- you know my cats! Could Marshmallow be anything but a pretty pretty princess, and Pickles be anything but a rough and tumble boy? (okay, so maybe he's a big baby, but I think he still acts very boy-ish! Maybe a mama's boy?)

    Sirrahbed,
If I didn’t know any better I would have picked Eliot to be female.
He has the same sweet facial features as Emily.

Sometimes it’s so hard to tell just from looking at the pictures. CCL’s Peanut Butter definitely looks feminine to me.

As for my cats, besides his girly voice, Phoenix looks and acts typical male
(He is only nice when he wants something) LOL!
Auggie is all female. It is hilarious to watch her sit down. First she tucks her tail underneath her butt, and then she sits up straight and crosses her paws. She is my sweet little lady.
Schatzie, my black female could be easy mistaken for a male. She is a hunter and a loner.
She can’t stand the other two cats, but is very loving with me.

Thanks to BCBlondie for this great signature!

It's really hard to tell most times for me. Except with orange tabbies, since I know they are usually males. I sometimes think some kitties look like they would be a female, they just look feminine especially the one's with the little pink noses. I think Sash looks like a little boy and he certainly acts like one! He's also super affecionate. I guess that can be a trait of either.

Most people think that Pumpkin is a boy, but I think she's a girly girl all the way!

    Neko definitely has manly features

Tama's so petite that he kinda looks like a female, and he whines like a girl, but he's a he!

Cookie I think could look either way, but once you get to know her, her girly attitude comes right out.

    I love my furkid Neko!

Eddie rolls in the dirt, makes a mess when he eats, jumps off the stair landing and drinks out of the toilet. Edwina, on the other hand, with the exception of the hitting of Eddie thing, is all girl! Cuddly, dainty, very feminine.

To me, Cookie and Pumpkin DO look girlie girl. Of course, Edwina always looks girlie-girl. Nobody says girls can't throw punches with the best of them! Miss Emily has also been known to do a quick pop on the noggin if one of her brothers are annoying her. My Emily is very prim and almost prissy if you are around her - and likewise, Eliot is Mr. Macho if you spend time with him and watch him, inspite of his sweet face. I guess Aby's look more uni-sex because they are so sleek. Kind of a silly thread I guess Fun though.

My Mitzi is definitely all girly-girl, especially when she turns on the "full-Mitzi" and swishes her "fluffy" hips and my Big Boy Mishi is definitely all male, although he does have a softer side that he lets me see every once in a while, especially when he gets all goofy-lovey-dovey. Most of the time he's a big, gangly, clumsy guy goon - so silly and handsome at the same time.

    Da Boyz...

All our guys are definately boys! They love to play rough, goose each other in the butt, sometimes they get into real brother fights that end with kisses, they play jokes on each other and take delight in making each other flinch. I had 3 brothers growing up and know this is all true!

Whenever Jim is moving the truck or a trailer, he puts Tiger in the front cab with him for a 2 minute ride. Tiger LOVES IT!

Jazz is female and is definitely a little princess and some days a diva.

Ripley is male and I guess for the most part acts it, especially when he gets mad. He's a big ole crybaby too.

Scout is female - most people think she is a very young male since she is so small. She is a total tomboy. I think it's because she was a stray that was abused and she had to learn to fend and fight for herself for the first 9-10 months of her life (or so the rescue shelter thinks). Anyway, she's the toughest cat in my house but she is also my only lap cat.

Its a purrsonality thing as JJJ3 , Roscoe and Sam , males are aggressive , But Michael , Moose, BJ , are quiet Males. And Rocca , BoBo , are agressive Females while the other Females Precious , Diane and Elizabeth are timid as is male John Hancock. And I ahve found that the Big Cat Breeds, are very laid back!

lol....Speaking of LAID BACK, That isnt even the word for Tigger , if hes laying on his back he wont get up because its just takes too much effort to roll over and if hes playing with a toy or some string, he will SLOWLY WALK and chase it and after 5-10 minutes he will lay there and just REACH out to try and grab it

My Bella sure acts like a girl. Sometimes she acts like she's a pretty pony. Jumping and bucking.

Snowy & Mr. Jones act like boys.

Now, Meeshu, one of the fosters, has such an athletic build, and is pretty tough, I can imagine someone thinking she's a boy. But her sister, Tashi, is all girl.

My Emily is all "prim and proper". She is actually named after Emily Post (but I doubt she would appreciate that ). She minds her manners, except when fed and she will bully anyone else away from their food if I don't watch her.

Whereas Tanner is one great big goof ball. He is the perpetual teenager and likes to roughhouse with Charlie (but I think that has something to do with being an orangie)...

Charlie may look feminine, but he is definitely all male. Constantly demanding attention, but of course not too much attention (sorry guys... ) He is also the one who will rough house with Tanner and would be my hunter if I ever let him out...
